Great British Spring Clean
Keep Britain Tidy’s annual Great British Spring Clean is back from Friday 13 March to Sunday 29 March and we are delighted to be taking part!
Thousands of #LitterHeroes across the country all come together to collect rubbish and enhance the fantastic work of our environmental street scene team! This is environmental action at its best and we can help you organise local community litter picking events and take away all of the collected rubbish for you!

Become a Green Champion in Newark and Sherwood
Why not step up as Green Champions and help us tackle litter hotspots across the district.
The scheme is open to anyone aged 18 or over living in Newark and Sherwood who wants to make a positive impact in their community.
We'll give you support and share important updates and check in on equipment use.

Be rewarded for recycling right with Green Rewards
Through the app you’ll be able to earn ‘Green Points’ by reporting what sustainable actions you’re taking including reporting your recycling!
Each month two winners are picked to win a voucher to spend locally! One winner is the resident to earn the most points that month, and the other is drawn from all residents who logged actions that month!

Our Street Scene and Environmental Enforcement teams are out and about, day in, day out, come rain or shine to keep your streets clean, your bins emptied and our parks and green spaces beautiful.
Report issues to us
We always need your help though in keeping our area safe and clean, you can do this by:
Report a litter bin that needs emptying
Report a dog bin that needs emptying
Report graffiti or fly-posting
We respond quickly to any issues that are raised with us, so please make sure you report things to us as soon as you see them. Thank you for your support!
